Caissons
Vertical installations of CSP are used for protection of pilings, bridge piers, materials storage, and tower support. CSP can be installed vertically and filled with granular materials to act as a bridge pier or to enclose and protect support pilings and retaining walls. Wind turbines and hydro poles are supported in CSP caissons or “pole cribs”. Dug wells are cased with CSP as are vertically installed water tanks.

Piers

Piling and Abutment Support
CSP is used as a form for concrete filled piles or to enclose steel piles allowing them to flex while adjacent walls are protected.

Storage
Whether for firefighting or agriculture, vertical CSP storage tanks constructed above and below ground retain water until it is needed.
Tower Support
CSP provides the extensive support structure wind turbines need in deep soils to resist overturning in the wind.
